Marquis Phillips Wine Labels

Client: Smog Design, Los Angeles, CA

Project: Illustrations for wine labels for R Wines, an American distributor for Australian Wines. I used my cigar box labels to create the title lettering. For this series the client wanted a collaged version of their mascot “Roogle,” a mash-up of a kangaroo and an eagle. Looking at an early sketch, Jeri said “Can you make it weirder?” A client after my own heart. These labels have appeared in Lürzer’s Archive, including as a featured cover illustration.
